Microphone Killed The Radio Star
So, as promised, here is the first ‘episode’ of my new pop music radio show, “Inside Splinters” for you to download.
Some notes:
- I was incredibly nervous for the first hour.
- It is stinkingly obvious for that first hour.
- There are some (bad) Helen Keller jokes.
- I say the words “nu-rave” not even five minutes in.
- The plan is to make next weeks show (the “proper” launch) much better, and I apologise in ADVANCE for what you’re about to hear.

On a completely unrelated note, I’ve just finished watching episode 7 of Season 3 Weeds… good golly it’s hilarious. Best season yet? Quite possibly. It’s definitely Nancy’s best season anyway… Season 1 was all about Celia, but the best one-liners have been OWNED by Nancy so far. And Silas… oh god, has he actually gotten HOTTER now that he is a convicted criminal/doing community service/drug dealer?

I can’t believe I missed this! And I can’t believe you’re working for Forte now! We’re like peas in a fabulously diva-esque pod.

Raj & Phil: Thank you!
KC: Well the show’s on every week so there’ll be plenty of opportunity haha. You shall have to come in one evening and co-host!
I just read your Fiddy Cent review and was in fits of hysteria… hilarious and incredibly accurate. Enjoying Forte a great deal, especially seeing pictures of Sugababes and Girls Aloud in a Geelong street press…

omg I would totally come in and co-host with you. that’d be a hilariously awkward and frightening experience (being on the radio, not being in the presence of Adem).
I feel like now you and me and single-handedly converting Forte into some supreme pop smash mag with my constant flaunting of my pop-affections and now you with your own writings. It’s enough to make a pop lover get a bit teary-eyed.
