HOLY FUCK.
.
That was Delta!* performing a remix of her new single Believe Again at last night’s AFI Awards.
You know, I already loved her, but nothing could have prepared me for that. Overwhelmed with joy; she’s an actual real pop star now.
*An exclamation mark will now be put into use whenever referencing Delta! due to the monumental FIERCENESS of her general being this year.

She gets more vile with each passing day! It’s too much of a compliment to call her the poor man’s Celine Dion.

Beg to differ! She is the new Olivia, not the poor man’s Celine. To call Delta the poor man’s Celine would imply she didn’t write the bulk of her music, much as I love Celine… I don’t think Delta wants to be known as one sitting behind a piano anymore, and her actions of late prove she wants to be a popstar, and I think she’s doing a more than exceptional job of it and has pulled it off with much more finesse and brilliance than a myriad of others who’ve attempted it this year, particularly in this country. That performance was a cross of Xanadu meets Girlie Show meets “Keep It Together” Blond Ambition Tour proportions.

It really is amazing, isn’t it? I was in fits of hysteria by the end.

Er.
I don’t know what to make of that. I totally see where Mike is coming from but Adem I see the potential…..I must admit it bored me a bit. But Delta(!) has suddenly started doing good pop music. However the jurys out on this….What i mean to say is-as a song its not altogether that catchy. Where’s the key hook? But now, i am prepared to sit and wait to see what she does next….

I’ve realised why i don’t like it-is the mix itself. Its very outdated. Its something that was making an impression back in 1993 around London. The house scene that mapped out the 1990’s of England was huge and Deconstruction Records were “the” label that produced most of the music that released that sort of etheral dance music. It reminds me of Tin Tin Out, Felix, Robert Miles and of course Kylie. That would have been amazing for a pop record of 1993. Come 2007, I’m not so sure….

Paul, PG, Phil: Agreed Agreed Agreed!!
Claire: It’s coming dear, a full post on Trinian’s the song. In short, I love it.
Bobby: I do like that you can see she’s at least headed in the right direction. I completely understand what you’re saying about the remix, but that’s what’s endeared me to it a bit more. VERY Tin Tin Out/Felix, and maybe my passion for dance of that era is why I’m loving this particular remix of this track so much.
The original is NOTHING like it though…
