R.I.P. Brad Renfro.
How so very sad.
Actor Brad Renfro was found dead in his L.A. apartment on Tuesday. He was 25.
Renfro was one of my very first crushes as a teen; I actually remember finding out we were the same age and being quite convinced I would one day marry him. I’d always found him incredibly attractive as the years went on and, even during his slightly unfavourable look last May when he was arrested for DUI and heroin possession, I still had a place for him in my heart. On top of all that, he was on hell of an actor. I remember watching Sleepers and Bully not so long ago and being amazed at how brilliant he was to watch.
Sad, but I cannot say I’m surprised.

So shocking. Come the 29th of this month, we’d be the same age. He also looks like Andrew from Desperate Housewives in that picture!

I saw “The Client” literally days before I went off to university for the first time in late summer ‘94. Who would have guessed that just a few years later, he’d be embroiled in a sad, drug-filled hell…and then eventually dead by 25. I felt really bad when I heard about this the other night. Plus, he had a hot ass in “Bully.”
