Under Their Barbarella.
Rihanna and The Klaxons at last nights Brit Awards. Fucking outstanding stuff. With a little more training and coaching, Rihanna will definitely be on her way to becoming a strong live performer.
Download a HQ MP3 from here.
Whilst I think Rihanna definitely needs to spend a few more weeks at Pop Star School before graduating with honours, she’s certainly on the right track. Whoever makes the decisions for Ri-Ri has - so far - been doing a pretty stellar job. Teach her a few more dance routines and convince her to stop looking so bored on stage, and we’ll have a truly magnificent pop star on our hands.
Her new hair is quite F.I.E.R.C.E. too, don’t you think?

You liked this? I thought it was a bit shit to be honest.
What was the point of those three homeless-looking people underneath playing guitar? No clue.

Dan C: Glad you liked!
Samuel: I really did actually. I saw the very point you’ve raised being brought up on the PJ forums last night and completely disagree. It was The Klaxons music being played so how was having them underneath playing guitar/assorted instruments/singing backing vocals/singing the chorus pointless? That laser-light show would have been ALL Klaxons too, and no Rihanna, and in my eyes it was all a very well put together package.

CONTINUING ON (WHOOPS)
I have a few - surely - quite unpopular opinions about the Brit Awards; including the fact that I thought Kylie’s performance was nothing short of rubbish and that it was the first time I’d ever thought “my god, she looks… almost past it.”

You know, I want to really like Rihanna, but I just don’t get much personality-wise from her. That said, I tend to like songs over their singers, and I like some of her songs. Like you said, maybe she’ll loosen up as she gets older.

I thought this was the spectacle of the night. Not much ‘performance’ going on, but a brilliant package. My favourite of the evening. But as always with the Brits (and other awards shows) there was loads to rant at on screen. The Osbournes? They were truly awful.

LOVED THIS! Man, she must have spent $$$ on the lasers/lighting alone! Alos loved how it was slowed down and mixed by the Klax’s. Cool stuff. Thanks for sharing.
