OT: Sarah Palin.
I just don’t bring my political views and opinions into the limelight ever on this website, but I can’t help but comment on what is potentially the future Vice President of the ‘free world,’ Sarah Palin.
Is it just me, or is there something eerily frightening about her? Watching her speech several days ago sent chills down my spine, and yet there was nothing necessarily alarming about what she had to say. However, maybe it’s my awareness of her stance on everything from gay marriage, to her strong views on abortion and guns that send my hairs on end. But it’s all more than enough for this Australian to draw slight parralels to our very own hate mongering politician, Pauline Hanson.
The only difference between Pauline and Palin is that one had a fish and chip shop at her fingertips, and the other may very well have the world at hers.
Scary, scary, scary.

The woman is frightening. Completely unqualified to be the vice president and is on the wrong side of EVERY issue. The fact that she can’t see that she’s unqualified is even worse. The fact that McCain thought she was qualified calls into question his judgment.
It’s scary. Hopefully we’ll see through the smokescreen. But don’t underestimate the tendency for some men in this country to vote using the wrong head.
of course she can’t see that she’s completely unqualified, have you seen her horrendous car windscreen glasses???
She completely freaks me out. Period. I hope, really hope, she won’t get into the White House with Old Grandpa Simpson, but as every day of the election campaign trundles by it, sadly, seems more and more likely that they will.
I think at the moment - I am trying to ease her into my life one day at a time with humour. Hence everything today has been compared to a bulldog in someway or another.
(In other news: when is someone going to do a spot the difference between a picture of a bulldog with lipstick on, and Palin. Or would/should that only involve one photo…?)
Vice President? The only vice this broad should be handling is the one she needs to clamp down on her 17-year-old daughter’s knees.
